“Within minutes Steve had me doing things that have changed the talk from a good one into a powerful one. I have no-doubt that bookings will increase as a result and that I will be using Steve again and again. If you are looking to improve your speaking ability then you need to beat a path to his door and pay him whatever he asks or you can be content to stay just mediocre.”

“When I started working with Steve I thought I already knew a lot about presenting, but I soon discovered how wrong I was. The few hours we worked together really transformed the way I think about myself and my audience. The result was amazing; our sales close ratio has never been so high. Apart from his powerful methods, Steve also has the ability to bring the best out of you and his unique style and sense of humour makes the whole process a very powerful and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!”
Walter Cruz, CEO, BountyNet
“As a professional speaker, I know how important it is to stay 'at the top of my game' so I can
consistently get results for my clients. I engaged Steve for some advanced presentation skills work on
'upping my level' of presenting. I consider myself pretty good already, so there aren't many people I'd
approach - but Steve specialises in working with professional speakers, so I contacted him. In a short
session Steve delivered more value than other courses that last days! The ONLY person I'd
recommend for working with my clients on their presenting. Highly recommended.”
Andy Preston – Professional Speaker, Sales Expert and Trainer
“Steve has recently been doing some performance mentoring with one of our major clients to prepare them for hosting a large supplier conference in Luxemburg. Having known Steve for some time, and been a very satisfied participant of his story telling workshop as well as a fan of his character GJP, I was already a big fan. That said his professionalism and facilitation skills were excellent, and he was a genuine pleasure to work with. Incredible results aside, I genuinely believe that I have not laughed so much for a long time!”
Nigel Watson, MD, Q4 Solutions
“I had a public speaking coaching session with Steve and have to say he was brilliant. His style is unique and he has the ability to get to the core of what's holding you back and move you on to experience real improvement in the shortest time I have ever known. I will be delighted to recommend Steve to my corporate clients and would recommend him to anyone who wants to become a great public speaker. a guy who is going places.”
Nicole Wehden, Business Consultant and Coach
“I recently attended Steve's Storytelling work and it was one of the best workshops I've ever been on. Steve carried the whole thing with his enthusiasm and passion for encouraging people to grow and move out of their comfort zone. The day was a great combination of theory and practical work - with the emphasis on a number of carefully thought-out exercises that encouraged us to play with various techniques to enhance our storytelling ability.”
Ivor Murray, MD, Meditations UK
“For me, the real benefit of attending Steve's workshop was to be intelligently drawn out of my comfort zone. I now understand, and have practiced, what I need to do better to connect with my listeners. In particular, being given the opportunity to over-act, and see others thinking they were over-acting and realising that it often doesn't come across as such was a real eye-opener. A very well thought-out and structured learning experience.”
Stuart Beattie, MD, Black Open Systems
“Steve excels at getting others to explore and expand their own personal boundaries so they can do way more than they thought possible. Having attended his StoryTelling Workshop, I know my confidence in my ability to entertain and captivate an audience has definitely increased. The exercises he introduced allowed me to have fun and learn at the same time - making it safe to explore new ways of adding impact to my storytelling and presenting.
At the start of the day I was wary of volunteering for anything - by the end I was one of the first to get up on that stage! Can't wait for my next opportunity to put my newfound skills into practice once again. Thanks Steve for an excellent workshop. Your ability to challenge, support and educate all at the same time made this a highly effective day's training.”
Christine Clacey, Leadership and Talent Development Specialist
“I attended Steve's Storytelling workshop on Friday and had a wonderful day. Steve's style is challenging yet supportive and the exercises he uses illustrate and explore verbal and non-verbal communication as well as your own perception of how you use them. I learned a great deal and have no hesitation in recommending this workshop in particular and encouraging others who haven't already done so to get to know Steve. An excellent workshop and a terrific guy.”
Andrew Morgan, Toastmaster
“I attended Steve's Story Telling workshop yesterday, which was fun, enlightening and (dread word!) empowering. Steve took us through a series of exercises and games that allowed us to stretch our "comfort zones" easily and comfortably, and at the same time coached us on improving our story telling; he did this with style and humour, and always kept us pushing to that next step.
As well as the personal learnings I got around timing, using emotion and gestures, and careful use of silence, I also got to see my fellow participants in a very different light, which was pretty inspiring too. (Chatham House rules apply, so no details!) What a great way to get to know fellow networkers better.
You don't have to be a presenter to get great value out of this workshop; it's good for anyone who has to speak to other people in any capacity, and it's a fun way of boosting your self confidence. And Steve is really good at what he does.”
David Stevens, Doctor Sound
“Steve's Storytelling workshop was a great experience, really consciousness expanding and enormous fun. I was physically and emotionally worn out at the end but had developed my skills enormously, as had everyone else WITHOUT EXCEPTION. I knew Steve was a good guy and a bit of a laugh but he showed me he is a real professional and a talented teacher and facilitator. This is a "Must Do" workshop. Book now!”
Colin Newlyn, Business Coach and Consultant
“I want to thank Steve for organising last Friday's Storytelling workshop at the Rag Factory in East London. These are the kind of workshops I love - spit and sawdust and no frills - anti-corporate
really - that puts you back in touch with yourself and what makes you passionate. Out with the business gobbledegook and pseudo-guru-mumbo-jumbo that so often bewilders the punters into submission. In with real, visceral, emotional, practical tips and experiences that you can take away and use immediately.
For me, the best element of this workshop was how Steve gave us permission to try anything to help feed our stories and how much I learnt from seeing others in action. Every person (no matter how experienced in storytelling) created a message that really opened a window on their world.
Steve supported the journey of building the story through different levels of intensity - first a warm up, reminding us that telling stories is a whole body thing, then through games that reminded us to be generous and connect with our audience, then break out groups to road test our stories and get feedback from our partners, sprinkled with techniques to give structure to the story.
The flow towards the climax of the day seemed effortless and I don't think anyone felt vulnerable in this trusted group. Some of the stories were mind-blowing, some funny, some moving, some clever. Each story for me was memorable. It is no coincidence that the catalyst of all this was Steve - his style is easy, casual, but alert and inclusive. If you haven't signed up for one of Steve's workshops - do it now.”
Michael McNulty, Founding Partner, The Performance Business
“I have seen Steve performing at business events a number of times and he always delivers something that is fun, engaging, and different. People learn when they are laughing and Steve makes great use of his training as a comedy actor. I would have no hesitation recommending Steve as a trainer/coach to help people add a bit of sparkle, flair, and humour to their presentations.”
Richard White, Sales & Marketing Coach
“I recently attended Steve's Storytelling workshop at the Rag Factory and, like the majority who attended, found it a rewarding experience. Steve certainly takes you out of your comfort zone, but in an entertaining way through carefully planned exercises and play.
It felt like being back at school again in many ways, playing children's games but still learning more about ourselves and importantly excellent presentational techniques that I can develop further in the future.
Ultimately, Steve managed to get all of us to develop different styles and open up in our story telling - the results were outstanding and I certainly enjoyed the climax of the day. While Steve can be extremely entertaining and funny (his Guru John Popolini character is a true testament to this), his professionalism shines through all of his work with enthusiasm and with a strong passion for getting things right.”
